Downtown Demopolis 1950

Having been born and raised in Demopolis over 60 years ago didn't make me aware of some of these downtown businesses.  Did you know that downtown around 1950 there was a Frank King Grocery, Bley Brothers, a pool hall on Washington and one on Strawberry, Emaculate Cleaners, Sam Breitling Cafe and also Maude Breitling Cafe and the area behind Simmons-Hobson Drugs was used as a livery on Saturdays.
